India Nirman Sangh

India Nirman Sangh is working to bring social and economic progress to rural communities in the hills around Kodaikanal, Tamilnadu. The Sangh has established self-help groups with over 2500 women and 500 men participating. Over 1500 women from the region have been brought together and are actively involved in various social reform activities inspired by Gandhian thought.

The group also focuses on building health, hygiene, sanitation and ecological awareness. They also run programs aimed at helping the people in this region to lose caste, community and religion based discrimination and to work together in a united fashion.

A deeply committed organization based on Gandhian ideals and principles, India Nirman Sangh is headed and managed by Mr. David Barunkumar of Kodaikanal.
