Vatsalyam is an organization
located in Ashok Nagar, Chennai, which works with rural and underdeveloped
communities, helping them understand the importance of education, sanitation
and environmental health.
In the field of education, the
group organizes special preparatory classes for 12th class students.
They also offer personality development trainings.
Vatsalyam’s working model is such
that it adopts a village for its cause, and spares no effort to convert it into
a clean, sanitary habitat for its people.
Every Sunday, Vatsalyam organizes
awareness campaigns about their various causes, runs medical camps and arranges
for free distribution of medicines for the poor, free eye care such as cataract
removal, free prescription glasses, etc.
The force behind Vatsalyam is Mr.
Raman who was educated by the Vivekananda Institution, and has dedicated his
life entirely to service of humanity.
