Nivedita Mission is a service organization that is involved in several social
upliftment activities. They run various camps for areas like blood donation,
eye care, general health, and for providing mobility devices for the physically
challenged.
Further, the group is involved in
promoting rural tourism, aboriginal welfare, women's welfare, and various other
welfare missions. Importantly, the mission plays an active role in helping
drop-outs re-enter the education system and complete their studies
successfully.
In order to promote the physical,
mental and spiritual wellbeing of its community, the mission offers training in
physical exercises, yoga, meditation, and other mental wellness practices. It
also brings the thoughts and writings of great thinkers and philosophers of the
world within the reach of the common man. The mission also frequently organizes
lectures about Gandhian thought and about the ideas of other spiritual leaders.
Finally, the underlying motive
behind all these activities is a hope for uniting humanity, promoting harmony
and spiritual wellness.
