Thiruvalluvar
Educational Trust helps interested but financially underprivileged children get
an opportunity for education. Located in Chengalpet, Tamil Nadu, this trust has
dedicated teams that offer children after-school assistance and help them
perform well in examinations.
The trust also offers
free school uniforms, supplies and financial assistance to children whose
families cannot afford their schooling. The trust is also involved in literacy
campaigns, and helps rural woman seek self-employment.
Established in 1992 by
Mr. Bhaskaran, the trust focuses primarily on education and literacy, but also
organizes medical camps, provides clothing and similar help to elderly homeless
people.
