Sri Gayathri Trust is involved in
the unusual, difficult and thankless task of collecting the bodies of destitute
people after their death, giving them a decent and honorable funeral.
This service is for every
orphaned body found, irrespective of caste, creed or religion. The Trust has
established a “Gnanavapi”, a last rites facility at Chrompet, Chennai, at the
cost of Rs. 3 Lakhs.
The trust also performs funeral
services and last rites free of cost to poor families, and provides them with free funeral vans.
The trust collaborates with cemetery
or crematorium employees to provide inexpensive funeral services to the poor.
Established by G. Raghavan, this
trust has been offering this valuable service for the past 20 years, and has
performed funeral rites for over 2000 people.

Sir, do you offer 1st to 13th day karyams at reasonable cost. one of my friend's father expired - for the first day vadyar charged 13K + including van!!!!!!!! and for 9 to 13 days 25K + 15 K for danamS!!!! if this is the situation of present vadyars who will be ready and willing to perform karma karyams?? your trust's offering is amazing
